DESCRIPTION:The Phoenix Human Relations Commission present "Addressing and Ending Homelessness" with speaker Amy Schwabenlender\, CEO of Keys to Change\, formerly Human Services Campus.\n\n \n\nHomelessness affects all communities in Maricopa County and is increasingly identified by residents as a top issue they want resolved. Amy will discuss root causes of homelessness\, current levels of homelessness\, and solutions that work to prevent and end homelessness at the individual and systems level.\n\n \n\nThe takeaways for the audience in attendance:\n\n1. Answers to common questions about homelessness.\n\n2. What is currently being done to address homelessness\n\n3. What is needed to make progress on "ending" homelessness.\n\n \n\nThe Speaker:\n\nAmy Schwabenlender is the CEO of Keys to Change\, formerly known as the Human Services Campus\, Inc. Previously Amy spent 13 years as VP of Community Impact for Valley of the Sun United Way\, where she worked to end hunger and homelessness and to increase the financial stability of individuations and families in Maricopa County.  A 2016 Piper Fellow and a graduate of Valley Leadership\, she holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Communications from Trinity University in San Antonio\, Texas and an MBA from Marquette University in Milwaukee\, Wisconsin.  In her six years at Keys to Change\, the Key Campus at 12th Avenue and Madison has provided transformational services with an array of partner organizations to more than 12\,000 unique individuals annually\; and the organization has expanded to provide street outreach to the unsheltered\, bridge housing\, and Project Connect events.
