The Justice Department remains vigilant in combating hate crimes that target the LGBTQI+ community. Marking the first week of Pride Month\, the Justice Department convened an interagency meeting with LGBTQI+ community stakeholders. \n\n \n\nTo continue bringing together stakeholders to support our shared goal of preventing\, disrupting\, and prosecuting illegal acts motivated by hate-fueled violence and threats\, this webinar will feature speakers from the Justice Department\, including Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Kristen Clarke\, as well as leaders and experts from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Community Relations Service (CRS). \n\n \n\nSpeakers will provide an overview of what the Civil Rights Division\, FBI\, and CRS have been doing to bolster community safety. Specifically\, the webinar will provide information about steps to take in the event of an emergency\, suspected hate crime\, or threat of violence\, and proactive measures to protect organizations\, facilities\, and communities. We will cover hate crimes\, civil rights\, and ongoing threats to the LGBTQI+ community.
