About Us

The Queer Center a 501 c 3 tax exempt non-profit organization since September of 2021. We are excited to launch the first Queer (LGBTQIA+) Center with a mission to provide resources to our Arizona queer community.
As a Queer organization, we continue to find and expand programs that will help and support our community. Some programs we’ve launched ourselves; other programs we’ve taken under our wing such as Trans Spectrum of Arizona (TSAZ). TSAZ hosts peer support meetings for Trans Feminine, Trans Masculine, Gender Expansive, and SOFFA (Significant Others, Family, Friends, and Allies). TSAZ also has created and maintains a Trans Resource Guide with information on health clinics, medical doctors, therapists, and other essential resources who all have proven valuable to the queer community. The YouPhoria Project is designed to help trans and non-binary individuals find the correct binder (compression garment)and to feel confident in finding the right size, style, and color of binder before purchasing their own. All of this is made possible through the generosity of donors and charity events. We have been able to provide over 500 free binders to our local community. We have also been able to provide gaffs (tucking panties) for our MTF community, and packing underwear for our FTM community. Another program is Team Friendly, a national campaign that fights HIV stigma by educating and providing the newest CDC information. Project Hard Hat, which provides condoms for 22 plus bars and bathhouses in the community. Rainbow Warriors, which is a self defense class taught in Tempe.
