About Point North Therapeutic Services:
Point North Therapeutic Services is a queer-owned and operated, trauma-informed practice dedicated to supporting individuals from all walks of life. Our mission is to provide a safe, affirming, and authentic space for clients to explore their identities, manage life’s challenges, and work through some of the most difficult times in their lives. We also work with general mental health, including depression, anxiety, trauma, and the unique stressors of daily living.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Therapist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be trauma-informed/certified and LGBTQ+ informed/affirming, with a passion for helping individuals navigate their mental health journey. This is an excellent opportunity for a therapist who values a collaborative environment and is eager to contribute to a supportive, inclusive practice.

Responsibilities:

• Provide individual, couples, and/or family therapy sessions in-person and virtually.
• Work with clients to develop personalized treatment plans using evidence-based practices.
• Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
• Contribute to a positive team environment where client care is prioritized and therapists feel valued and supported.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
• Must be fully licensed to practice in Arizona; provisionally licensed candidates may be considered.
• Trauma-informed or certified (preferred).
• LGBTQ+ informed and affirming with a commitment to inclusive care.
• Experience working with diverse populations and a range of mental health issues.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage a balanced caseload.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with adolescents, adults, and/or couples.
• Evening and/or weekend availability is a plus.
• Knowledge or certification in evidence-based practices such as CBT, DBT, EMDR, etc.
• Bonus: Existing caseload to bring to the practice.
